We are looking for an Information Security Engineer to join our growing team in Malta.

As an Information Security Engineer within our team, you will support the organisation’s security posture by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to provide guidance on secure design, monitor and respond to security threats, and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.

What will you be doing?

• Research and assess the potential impact of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.

• Monitor security events, perform log analysis, identify trends, and support forensic investigations.

• Perform regular security and vulnerability assessments of internal systems and platforms.

• Investigate cyber security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and track remediation actions.

• Design, implement, and manage security architectures aligned with industry standards and best practices.

• Conduct in-depth threat modelling, risk analysis, security audits, and security reviews.

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of security standards, policies, procedures, and metrics.

• Advise internal teams on security-related matters and support the integration of secure-by-design solutions.

• Maintain and promote Information Security principles across the organisation.

• Stay up to date with evolving security threats, tools, best practices, and industry developments.

• Design and deliver Information Security awareness and training initiatives.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving technical environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Cyber Security or Information Security roles.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Cloud Security Architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of security and infrastructure technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and networks.

• Experience with application penetration testing.

• Comfortable working in Linux environments, including virtualization and containerization.

• Strong understanding of security standards and frameworks such as ISO, NIST, and SOC.

Desirable

• Application security or software development background.

• Hands-on experience with secure architecture design and threat modelling.

• Exposure to compliance and audit-driven environments.
